All in adoption

Adopted into the Family

Earthly adoption provides a beautiful spiritual picture of what God does for us. He brings us into his family. We become heirs with Christ. We aren’t just people who have been forgiven by God, he lavishes his affection on us calling us sons and daughters. I agree with Packer when he says, "To be right with God the Judge is a great thing, but to be loved and cared for by God the Father is a greater."

Unconditional Adoption

Adoption is a topic that has become near and dear to my wife and I’s heart. Since being married, we have had the hunch that adoption is in our future. We’ve known people who have been adopted and spent considerable time with them. Even more, adoption is a visible picture of what God does for us in Christ.

The Great Message in Adoption

Last night I had the privilege of sharing the gospel at a correctional boys home. After speaking, I had one boy motion me over toward him. We talked for a bit and he explained to me frustration he felt and loneliness he was experiencing. He told me he had been in 40 or 50 different foster homes before he was finally adopted.
