I’m a slow reader by anyone’s measure. I’m not the person who can finish a book in a day. I am the person who may have to re-read a paragraph two or three times to get it. Sometimes reading can feel like work.
Welcome to my blog. I mostly write about Christian Living, but I enjoy the Kentucky Wildcats, New Orleans Saints, and a good cup of coffee.

I decided at the beginning of 2017 that I wanted to go slower so I found a plan to read the entire Bible in two years. I just wrapped up my reading and I feel as though I’ve walked away with a few observations worth sharing. Here are a few things that jumped out at me after my two year journey.

This may sound strange, but Sunday mornings when I drive alone to church are some of my favorite times. It is not that I don’t love my family. I usually like to drive fast. I want to make the best time possible to get to where I'm going. However, in this case, I wanted to be slow.
In 2017 I started reading more often and finished several books. In 2018 I'm hoping to increase the number of books I read, but I'm also hoping to tackle one or two thick, long titles.
