For a Student Pastor, camp is kind of like the Super Bowl. To find a camp you actually look forward to is kind of like winning the jackpot. Last year, we went to Crossings Cedarmore and the students not only loved it, but I loved it. I actually looked forward to going back this year. I had plans. I had dreams. I had aspirations. Roots Student Ministry at First Baptist East Bernstadt is headed to camp today.
Last night, our student ministry hosted it's first ever Nerf War. Games were played, fun was had, food was eaten, and lots of foam bullets whizzed and sailed. Many students had a good time and we got to engage a few new students that don't regularly come to our student ministry along the way…

I’m at summer camp. When I was in middle/high school I went to a lot of camps and had a lot of interesting experiences. Never in my life did I think I’d be the one taking students to camp. Yet, here I am. This is my third year and third different camp. I’m becoming a pro at the whole camp thing. Sunburns and sicknesses: I’ve dealt with it all. Camp is wild, exhausting, fun, and frustrating all at the same time.
