The NLT Inspire Prayer Bible
Some Bibles are so unique that they just make you say, "Wow!" That’s the case the with the Bible I’m reviewing today. The New Living Translation is one that has grown on me as I’ve been reviewing and familiarizing myself with the various translations. This Bible pairs a unique format with a great translation.
This Bible is called Inspire Prayer: The Bible for Coloring and Creative Journaling. I’ve seen journaling Bibles before, but nothing like this. When you pull it out of the box, you’ll immediately notice by the colorful cover that this isn’t your average Bible. The cover is bright with what could be described as a cross between paint splotches and floral design. It has two bookmarks with one being pink and the other being blue. The page edges have a gold gilt.
The inside cover is white with designs you can color (think adult coloring book). The Bible is filled with these coloring pages—400 to be exact. There are also 32 colorful see-through pages with prayers printed on vellum paper through the Bible. This is something that’s quite unique.
Other features include wide 3" margins for journaling and 142 Prayer journaling prompts that are Scripture-based prayer starters to inspire your own written prayers.
This Bible is single-column and the font is an 8.65 with all black letter text. The Bible itself is pretty thick because of all the features. I also feel like for a journaling Bible, there’s more ghosting than I’d like to see. I think Tyndale tried to pack in so many features that they had to use thinner paper. Personally, for a journaling Bible, I’d like thick and opaque paper.
That being said, artists will love this Bible. I’ve really never seen anything like it. With all the opportunities to color, journal, and draw, this Bible is the creative person’s dream. If you want a Bible that’s built to express yourself, check out the the NLT Inspire Prayer Bible.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this Bible from Tyndale and this is a fair and honest review.
