Can I be honest with you? I think Study Bibles are hard to review and are rarely worth the effort it takes to review them. Wow… I can’t believe I actually wrote that. That being said, The Grace and Truth Study Bible from Zondervan is absolutely incredible. It is the reason I keep reviewing Study Bibles. In fact, it has made it into my top two Study Bibles and I find it an incredibly valuable resource.
I’m reviewing the Premier Edition of The MacArthur Study Bible, which means I will pay attention to both the construction of the Bible as well as the content. I’m also reviewing the New American Standard translation of this Bible. When you think of Dr. MacArthur, you think of the NASB. This is one of the nicest Study Bibles I’ve ever owned. Thomas Nelson has created an incredible product that anyone would prize to have on their shelf. Having a previous version of this Study Bible, I’ll also compare some of the features between the older and newer edition and explore whether the new edition is worth the upgrade…
Today I’m happy to review a Bible that really peaked my interest because of it’s layout. It’s a Bible that I don’t see talked about too often, but it’s honestly packed full of really interesting features. I’m talking about The ESV New Inductive Study Bible from Precept Ministries and Harvest House Publishers.
I am a huge fan of the ESV Study Bible. I've had a hardback copy for as long as I can remember and I also use the digital version quite regularly. This Study Bible is such an excellent resource that I wanted to check out some of the finest bindings on the market. I've reviewed the Heirloom version here and today I'm pleased to get to bring you a review of the ESV Study Bible in deep brown cowhide.
