Welcome to my blog. I mostly write about Christian Living, but I enjoy the Kentucky Wildcats, New Orleans Saints, and a good cup of coffee.
Zondervan keeps knocking it out of the park with their newly released Bibles. The NASB ‘95 Classic Reference Bible is no exception. This is a beautiful Bible with some unique features. It’s one of those Bibles that is not quite Premier Collection, but is pretty stinkin’ close! What I love about that is that it means that it has a premium feel with a less-than-premium price tag! Let’s check it out.
There’s truly nothing like a nice goatkskin Bible. Even more, there’s nothing like a nice goatskin Bible with a great layout! You’re going to get all of that and more from Thomas Nelson in the new NKJV Maclaren goatskin edition.
Zondervan has been flooring me with their designs lately. They’ve been taking chances and I love it! I’m cheering them on and I hope they keep going because the Bible I’m reviewing today will visually blow you away. Zondervan pulled out all the stops with this design and it totally works! This Premier Collection NRSV Personal Size Large Print Bible with Apocrypha isn’t just a Bible, it’s a statement piece!
Crossway has rebranded the ESV Devotional Psalter and it now has a more devotional feeling name—In the Lord I Take Refuge. This book features the same devotions written by Dane Ortlund that were in the previous Devotional Psalter. This book will help the reader reflect and meditate on each Psalm in the Bible.
I was approached a couple of months ago by a marketing company asking if I would be interested in reviewing Bill Johnson, the Pastor of Bethel’s new book called Open Heavens. I’m convinced they had not looked at any of my other content, or maybe they had, but I thought it could definitely be interesting so I said, “Sure, why not?” I wasn’t actually convinced we’d ever get to the point of me actually receiving it, but it ended up showing up to my surprise.
The NKJV Interleaved Journaling Bible is patterned after Jonathan Edward’s Bible. There’s a blank page next to each page of Scripture. This cover is a limited edition and won’t be around forever. Check out my full video review below.
No one can ever say Crossway doesn’t listen to the customers. In a huge move, they have moved their Heirloom line back to the Netherlands. This is a move many have been excited about and now these Bibles are about to hit the market. It is my joy to bring you a review of the 2021 ESV Heirloom Heritage in black goatskin.
It’s odd to say a Bible translation has come out of nowhere and gained a cult following, but that’s exactly what has happened with the Berean Study Bible. Not your traditional study Bible, the Berean Study Bible is actually a translation that has seen an explosion in popularity among Bible enthusiasts. Is the popularity warranted?
There are a lot of study Bibles out there and it’s hard to know which one to choose. Many study Bibles have different features and focuses. If I could summarize in one word what I think the main feature is of the fully revised NIV Study Bible it would be “COLOR!” This Study Bible is colorful and really catches your attention when you open it. Today I’m reviewing the calfskin edition. Let’s take a closer look.
I love featuring Bible rebinders! Bible rebinds can extend the usefulness of a really worn out Bible, preserve a family heirloom, allow you to customize a Bible to your exact specifications, and they’re just plain cool! You truly don’t know the artistry and incredibly work of a Bible rebinder until you’ve held one of their Bibles in your hands.
