Without a Doubt by Dean Inserra
In the current season of COVID-19, many people are asking good questions regarding God and faith. Some are experiencing doubts of whether they truly know God and are known by him. Other may be on the opposite end and should be asking these questions, but they aren’t.
Dean Inserra has written a short, but really helpful book called Without a Doubt: How to Know for Certain That You’re Good with God. In the book, he discusses just that, "How can I truly know that God knows me?" This is the question all of us want to be sure on.
I love Inserra’s writing style. He writes for the common person—and I mean that as a compliment. He uses illustrations that are so relatable and he really gets to the heart of the question he’s addressing without beating around the bush.
In this book, you’ll find him addressing both Christians who need assurance and those who have false assurance and should be asking themselves hard questions. He looks at barriers that keep people from believing as well as what genuine belief looks like. He will also show the essentials of saving faith in Christ.
I think this book is a timely, valuable resource. Being new, it addresses the pandemic, which I think is helpful. There are also so many who are asking this question in every season of life. A short, but impactful resource like this is so helpful to be able to hand someone and talk about when they’re done.
I love the way Inserra writes and I’m grateful that he took the time to write this short book. I highly recommend keeping a couple of copies on hand. It may just what your friend or family member is looking for.
