Gifts of Grace by Jared C. Wilson

Could it be!? One of my favorite authors has released an Advent book! Jared C. Wilson writes in a way that resonates with me. I love the season of Advent. It literally changed my life and made my Christmases so much more focused and intentional. To get to celebrate Advent with Jared C. is more than I could have asked for!

In all seriousness, I am really excited about this book. I choose a new Advent devotion to read with my family each year and I certainly have my favorites. I could easily see this one rising to the top of the charts. In all transparency, I typically will read a couple of devotions for my Advent reviews so that I can read it fresh during the season. Jared C. Wilson and The Good Book Company have teamed up to change your Christmas season!

Gifts of Grace focuses on a different gift from God each day. I read Day 3: Justification. Wilson relates it to the movie Fred Claus (you’ll have to read the book to see the connection). I find myself constantly amazed by Wilson’s writing ability and how he can bring such high doctrines down to such accessible levels. That is what you will love about this book. He’s focusing on gifts from God while giving you better theology. Other gifts include propitiation, expiation, priesthood, commissioning, etc. I love how he focuses on gifts God gives us that change our lives.

I love Wilson’s writing and I think this book will be no exception. This is the Advent book I plan to read with my family this season and I highly recommend you consider doing the same with yours.
