Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I mostly write about Christian Living, but I enjoy the Kentucky Wildcats, New Orleans Saints, and a good cup of coffee.

A Rebind from Reformed and Rebound

A Rebind from Reformed and Rebound

Sometimes you just have a vision for a rebind. That’s exactly how I feel about the rebind I’m reviewing today. I’ve been admiring the work from Reformed and Rebound for quite some time and he seems to only be getting better. I knew I wanted to check out his work and I knew just the Bible to send him. Let’s take a look.

My favorite leather by far is the waxy Badalassi Carlo. The marble look is so striking and I love almost every color. I had never seen the turquoise in person and I knew I had the perfect Bible to make it happen. The NKJV McLaren Thinline has amazing page edges and the words of Christ are in a turquoise color. This leather and these pages are a perfect pairing. Combine that with the amazing page edges and some gold accented stamping and you’ve got an amazing looking Bible!

When I received this Bible, I was immediately struck by how beautiful the work is from Reformed and Rebound. This cut of leather is crazy!!! It has this raised, awesome grain that I’d never seen on this leather before. It’s really unique. I also love that this is the a really dark marbled turquoise. I’ve seen some that look more turquoise and some that look more black and then is a really nice blend.

RR did a double tool line around the edges and this has a nice, semi app. I’m normally a full app guy, but these page edges need to be shown off! RR’s spine work is amazing! It’s a beautiful rounded spine and there are five raised hubs. Stamped in gold are the words “HOLY BIBLE”, “ESV”, and the RR logo.

He used white head and tail bands. We also discussed ribbon colors and he was able to get three unstacked on this thinline. I was truly impressed! There are two black and one turquoise and they are long! I love long ribbons so this was a beautiful touch.

Inside, he used a soft, black lamb liner. There’s a gold perimeter tool line and black end sheets. His corner work is very striking. It looks beautiful. You just don’t get corners like this on a Bible unless you’re getting a rebind.

I’m really impressed with the work from Reformed and Rebound. He turned my cheap, fake leather Mclaren into an absolute masterpiece. I don’t hesitate to recommend him and you can hit him up on Facebook. Tell him that Cam sent you!
