The CSB Kid's Bible Thinline in Space LeatherTouch
The Bible I’m reviewing today was love at first sight. I saw it and knew I needed to check it out. Even more so, my oldest daughter wanted a full size Bible and this Bible looks so good that I hoped I could pass it to her after reviewing it. Let me just say, the pictures don’t do this Bible justice. It really is just a beautiful Bible and it’s a Kid’s Bible at that!
While this is just a LeatherTouch Thinline, one thing that makes LeatherTouch so fun is the different kinds of things they do with it. The space pattern on the front of this Bible is beautiful. It has a gradient that goes from purple to blue to a pinkish peach color. Silver stars accent the space scene. The silver printing on the spine and page edges compliment the stars nicely. There is white perimeter stitching, a blue ribbon bookmark, and blue head and tail bands. These little touches really make this such a nice Thinline.
Inside you’ll find a royal blue paper paste down liner and royal paper endsheets. To my surprise, this Bible is also Smyth-sewn, which is huge for a Kid’s Bible because it will help this Bible go much further than if it was just glued.
Inside is a two column layout with a 9 point type size. Textual notes are set off at the bottom by a horizontal line separating them. Words of Christ are in red. The pages do appear to be linematched as best I can tell and the paper seems nice and opaque.
I love the extra features in this Bible. It features 40 full-color pages with study helps and maps. These are beautifully done (see the pictures) and great for kids. There are also book introductions as well.
When it comes down to it, I really like this Bible. I’d carry this Bible! It’s beautifully made and looks great on the inside too. I highly recommend it for you or your kids!
