The Legacy Standard Bible Hardcover Inside Column Reference Bible
I’m not going to beat around the bush. Three Sixteen Publishing is making the nicest hardcover Bibles I’ve ever seen. From the Solas LSB Handy Sized to the Bible I’m reviewing today, if you are a hardcover fan then you need an LSB in your hand. I think the LSB Inside Column Reference Bible has the best layout of any Bible out there. One of my major complaints is that companies make some awesome layouts then never put them in easily affordable editions. That’s why I’m excited about what Three Sixteen is doing with the LSB. They aren’t just putting their nice layouts in really nice and premium options, they are offering them in hardcover too. There is great value to hardcover Bibles. They are work horses. You don’t have to baby them. You can actually use your Bible anywhere and everywhere! That’s why I’m so excited to review the LSB Inside Column Reference Bible in hardcover for you today.
The cover itself has a black matte finish to it and in gold is the LSB logo, “LEGACY STANDARD BIBLE”, and gold rectangle with the words “INSDIE COLUMN REFERENCE EDITION”. On the spine in gold are the words, “HOLY BIBLE”, the LSB logo, “LEGACY STANDARD BIBLE”, and “STEADFAST BIBLES”. The page edges are white and there’s a single gold, double-sided satin ribbon bookmark. Inside is a white paper paste down liner. This Bible is going to be super durable as it’s Smyth-sewn with overcast stitching. This Bible was printed and bound in Korea.
The paper is a 40 gsm. It’s incredible. It’s thick, opaque, and feels great in the hand—and it’s in a hardcover Bible! It’s truly incredible. This was typeset by 2K Denmark. It boasts an 11 point font. If you’ve read any of my reviews then you know I’m a bigger is better font size type of person. I love the font size in this Bible! Page headings and chapter numbers feature a red accent color. It’s also typeset in my favorite layout, which is single column verse-by-verse. In the inner margin you’ll find over 95,000 cross references on top and over 14,000 footnotes on the bottom.
I also love the concordance in the back. It provides word definitions as well as over 16,000 Scripture references. I find it incredibly useful and I’m so glad it was included. There are also several full color maps.
Honestly, I don’t feel like I can over sell this Bible. I love it. I love that you get such a premium package in a hardcover option. It’s affordable and it’s meant to be used. I can’t recommend this Bible enough. Even if you don’t primarily use the LSB, you’ll want this Bible as a study tool. It’s useful and packed full of great study helps!
