The New International Version is continually the best selling Bible translation. It features a blend of accuracy to the original languages and readability that make it a widely accessible translation for both teachers and students. If you don’t currently use the NIV, chances are that you have at some point. Because of these reasons, I was excited for the opportunity to get to review one of the Bibles from Zondervan’s Premier Collection. This is their collection of Bibles that use premium materials and are of a higher quality construction.

I sinned today. I sinned yesterday. I will sin tomorrow. As I grow older, I become more and more aware of just how much I need God’s grace and need the Holy Spirit to keep me. I become more aware of the depravity I was rescued from and just how deeply it penetrates my very nature. I will never graduate from being a sinner in this life.

The ESV is the translation I typically use and I’ve used it for a long time; I’ve memorized quite a few portions of Scripture in this translation. It would be hard for me to leave behind. Thankfully, there are bountiful options of incredible Bibles in this translation. The Heirloom Legacy comes from Crossway and it just so happens to be my favorite premium Bible out of all the ones I’ve been blessed to review.

I just recently mowed my lawn. You’re probably thinking, “Big deal. You have to do that.” When I’m done mowing the lawn, I like to look out over the yard and see the even-cut, short grass and it makes me feel accomplished. It makes me feel good. My yard that was once a mess now looks good and well cared for. It is just a lawn, but I like knowing that I made it look good.

I'd been encouraged to enjoy some fictional reading this summer and thought that sounded like a fun idea. However, I've had a lot of limited time to read lately so I thought this might best be accomplished through audio book. One book I decided might be good to read was Stephen King's It. Quite frankly, I don't enjoy scary movies, but many students in my youth group raved about it when it was released. I thought it might be good for me to know about it and that the book sounded like a safer way to experience King's tale. Boy, was I wrong.
