The Crossway 80th Anniversary ESV Omega Thinline Reference Bible Review

The original ESV Omega was my first introduction to premium Bibles. It was given to me as an incredibly nice and generous gift. When I held it in my hands I couldn't believe the caliber. I had never seen or held a premium Bible before and I began to understand the hype and the cost. The quality is considerably different from even forty or fifty dollar Bibles. They're called premium for a reason.

The CSB He Reads Truth Bible Review

I honestly didn’t think I’d care much about the CSB He Reads Truth Bible. I saw many people talking about it and anticipating it, but I really thought it was just a ploy to get men to purchase a Bible. I didn’t think it would be anything special. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

A Warning To Those Who Love Theology

In Christianity, there can be different focuses when it comes to how we express our faith and ourselves. There are those who love to serve others and be involved with helping and missions. There are those who are passionate about evangelism and/or discipleship. There are also some who love learning, studying, and theology. Most likely many are a blend of these things.

The CSB Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible Review

My church uses the CSB translation so I’ve been diving deeper into it. I started out with a cheaper thinline that I received as a promotion when the translation was new. Since then I’ve picked up a few study Bibles both in digital and physical formats and now I have the privilege to review what I think is the nicest CSB available on the market as of the time of writing this. The CSB Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible is very nice at an incredible price.

To Treasure Christ

Life on earth is a gift. It can be such a good gift at times that we lose focus on our true treasure. We can get caught up in relationships, the things of the world, and our own agenda. These things, while good blessings, are not to be our true focus. Jesus is our treasure.

The ESV Pastor's Bible Review

You just can’t have it all when it comes to Bibles. At least that’s the way I feel. I think a Pastor’s Bible is a really cool concept and I really enjoyed getting to review the CSB Pastor’s Bible. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to get to review the ESV one. There were things I loved about the CSB and I find there are things I love about the ESV. I really wish I could combine certain features from the two and create one powerhouse Pastor’s Bible. You can’t have it all though so let’s talk about the features that come in this ESV Pastor’s Bible.

The Book Your Pastor Wishes You Would Read by Christopher Ash: a Book Review

Pastors do a lot more than we give them credit for. They do a lot that most of us don’t even know about. It can actually be easy to forget that they’re people who feel all the same emotions we do. We think of pastors as caring for us, but should we be caring for them as well? In The Book Your Pastor Wishes You Would Read Christopher Ash teaches us about pastors and tells us things most pastors would probably be too embarrassed to tell us themselves.

Love Your Kids Enough To...

Two weeks ago we talked about embracing the awkward when it comes to discipling your kids, especially if they’re older and you’ve never done it before. Last week we talked about having spiritual conversations and using teachable moments. Those things can at times feel awkward enough, but this week we want to really embrace it—and I think this a must. As a parent, you need to love your kids enough to…
