Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I mostly write about Christian Living, but I enjoy the Kentucky Wildcats, New Orleans Saints, and a good cup of coffee.

I’m always looking for simple, gospel-focused books for my daughters. They are one and three so I need something that really boils things down to a simple level. That’s why I love the children’s books that The Good Book Company produces.

The Christmas Promise written by Alison Mitchell and illustrated by Catalina Echeverri is a winner. It has a simple, but focused and important message. It is beautifully illustrated. Did I mention it’s a board book? I love board books because my one year old can’t rip the pages out! Sadly, we’ve lost a lot of kids Bibles this way.

The Christmas Promise takes children through the story of God’s promise to send the King who would set all things right. They will discover all the characters who heard about and celebrated Jesus’s birth. They will find out that God keeps his promises.

Personally, I love the illustrations in this book. They are colorful and fun. I think even children who may not fully comprehend the story will love looking at these pictures and find them engaging.

If you’re looking for a short, fun, and focused Christmas story for your children then I think you will love The Christmas Promise. This book delivers a story all children need to hear during Christmas and throughout the whole year.

You can pick up The Christmas Promise on Amazon. (affiliate)
