Where is God during COVID-19?

One angle I’m sure many believers and unbelievers alike are turning over in their minds is the question, "Where is God in all of this?"Maybe you find yourself asking, "If God is all powerful, why doesn’t he stop this?" Maybe you’re asking, "Why would a loving God allow so many people to die?" Maybe you just wonder, "Is God even real?"

The ESV Creeds and Confessions Bible in Black TruTone

I’ve had the privilege of reviewing multiple editions of Crossway’s Creeds and Confessions Bible. I’ve reviewed it in black Goatskin as well as the Westminster Books exclusive hardcover. Today, I get to review it in black TruTone. When I initially saw people posting pictures of this Bible, I was blown away by what I saw. I didn’t believe it could be a TruTone. It looked like leather. There were spine ribs on the back. I remembered this old, pocket-sized TruTone I had a long time ago and it got beat up fairly quickly. I had other TruTones in the past and none of them looked like this. I knew I had to check it out.

The Crossway ESV Heirloom Legacy in Dark Brown

The ESV Heirloom Legacy from Crossway is one of my favorite ESV Bibles. The design is beautiful and really allows you to immerse yourself in the text. It is also one of the few Crossway Bibles that you can still get your hands on that was printed in the Netherlands. In the next couple of months, the new Heirloom Legacy that’s being printed in China will be released and this one will become unavailable. So if this Bible peaks your interest, act quickly.

The Sutro Alder Boot Review: A Class of Its Own

Two things jumped out at me when I first checked out Sutro’s boots. First of course, the look. Sutro creates several styles that I’d love to own or try out. I also love every color they offer. One of the most incredible things about their boots is that they come with this naturally aged look that most people dream of achieving when they buy a new pair of boots

The Zondervan NASB Preacher's Bible (Premier Collection) Review

It’s no secret that I’ve been raving about the new NASB Premier Collection from Zondervan. If you haven’t already, check out my review of the NASB Single Column Reference Bible (SCR). In this post, I’m reviewing the other Bible in the new Premier Collection, which I would call the perfect companion for the SCR. It’s also made in China and it’s an impressive Bible from Zondervan…

The Zondervan NASB Single Column Reference Bible (Premier Collection) Review

I’m not even sure where to start as I begin to write the review for this Bible. All I can really say is, “Wow!” I knew Zondervan and Thomas Nelson’s Premier Collections were progressively getting better, but the two new NASB’s that Zondervan has just released have blown me away. I would argue they are now directly competing with premium companies like Cambridge, Schuyler, and Allan. Not only are they competing, but they are offering their Bibles at a considerably lower cost. Let me say it again, “Wow!”
